Seaside Yachting Services was founded by Michael Shaw, a lifelong waterman who grew up in Newport Beach with a deep connection to the ocean and a passion for sailing. Drawing on years spent navigating coastal and offshore waters, Michael created Seaside Yachting with a clear purpose: to make time on the water more accessible, empowering, and community-driven for boat owners and aspiring mariners alike.

With more than 9,000 nautical miles of offshore passage making and extensive experience captaining both luxury sailing and motor yachts around the world, Michael brings a rare depth of practical knowledge to every engagement. His background as a USCG-licensed captain and ASA-certified sailing instructor allows Seaside Yachting to offer not only professional captained services, but also hands-on education rooted in real-world seamanship, safety, and vessel stewardship.
